21 years ago we brought a little bundle home to Duckmaloi.
Last weekend we gathered to celebrate her coming of age.
And here I am with happy tears streaming down my face…
Looking through old photo albums and reading the journal I’ve kept since she was born.
Thinking about all the things that are in my heart and all the things that I would wish for her. Wanting to say thank you for all the joy that she’s brought to us.
Happy birthday Madsy.
Love you to the moon and back xx

Lovely post Marg, thanks for sharing X
Ah I’m a soppy old thing. I think there are points in your life where you’re allowed to be. This was one. All ahead of you
xx
oh the transition from that table waiting for the celebration to the one filled with loving friends and relatives is priceless. Our own little girl is a long way from her 21st but I hope it is filled with love like your daughters. A very happy Birthday to you all the way from Australia x
Thanks Lisa. All ahead of you too x
Ah, this got me kind of teary-eyed…. Just thinking of our little one and how the time flies, and how in no-time we’ll be (hopefully) celebrating her big milestones. Beautiful post! And as you can see, I haven’t had time to read/comment other blogs for a while, now enjoying a slow Sunday morning in Stockholm on on my own (!!) and doing some leisurely reading
Ah I’m very flattered that you’d choose to spend some of your precious Sunday morning with me. They’re all special Satu … all the little milestones. I think that’s what got to me when I was going through all the photos and reflecting on it all.
