In the cool of a summer morning …

Before the heat of another summer day in Bathurst does her worst

I ventured out and stole a few moments in the shadows …

Erigeron peaking through picket fence in Bathurst

little porch of flowers and open kitchen window

old fashioned pastel plastic chair with broom leaning against it

It never ceases to surprise me

Crepe myrtle and sun on red bricks

how your view of the world changes

old fashioned lace curtains and stained glass window

when you look with intention

wall in full sun

Filtering our the noise

wrought ironwork on Bathurst pub

Especially when you see something surprising in something that you pass every other day.

Looking at these images I can’t but agree with what you commented on one of my blog posts, our worlds could not possibly be more different, but that’s the beauty of it! Although I have to say, right now I’m kind of getting tired of the cold cold winter here, but at least these summer images transfer me virtually away for a little while…

I don’t know if I could do the long dark winters, especially having grown up in Australia where the light is so harsh and bright and intense. Your winter images have been beautiful Satu. Glad these summers ones light up a Sunday morning for you.
