WELCOME

Hi, I’m Margaret, a designer, a writer, a mum, an artist and a traveler.

After running our own design studio Red Moon Creative since 2004 and carving out a lovely life in regional Australia, my ex-farmer husband and I are starting to rewrite the script.

We’re changing up the business and bit by bit, we’re taking it on the road, shooting short videos and photos for businesses – particularly those in the tourism and arts industries – working remotely at times, but essentially helping clients with their words and visuals, wherever that may be. Whether it’s logo design, print or web design or even illustration, we’re a bit of a one stop shop. And I know that having a background as a journalist and copywriter adds an important dimension to the graphic work we do. If you’re interested in having us do some work for you please send us a line via the contact page. Or pop across and check out the Red Moon website or the Red Moon Facebook site.

Over time we’d love to be doing this not only in Australia, but overseas.  We’re open to a bit of bartering too, especially if you have a cool little B&B in a cool little village with a cool little bar 😉

But that’s just one part of it.

The other part is about exploring our own creative journeys.

For Steve, that’s as a sculptor – you can see his work here.  Or you find him on on Facebook here.

For me, it’s all about painting.

Ultimately it’s about living a creative life.

Our daughter Madeleine had headed to New York later for two years to do a Masters of Fashion and Society at Parsons. Here’s her site. And our son Darcy has just finished school and is working out his next move. Each in our own ways, we’re all getting ready to launch. It’s exciting and a little bit scary too.

In the meantime we’re doing our best to celebrate our here and now. Look below and you’ll see some posts that give you a feel of what we get up to. If you look in the categories (to the right) there are more.

I’m pretty active on Facebook and Instagram.

And I’m particularly excited that you’ve read this far 😉

Hope you like what you see. Over time I hope you’ll subscribe and come back for more.
